MONNNTREEIZZLEE!!!

Man.
I would never have guessed that my spring break would take THAT much out of me… but it did. So I'm dealing with it. I've only been back at school two days and already feeling the strain.
Among the many things I've been trying to do lately, one of them has been to POST here. Not just any post mind you, I've got some quality videos from my spring break to share!

Last week me and muh bud Doug drove from little old Champaign all the way to Montreal to visit a buddy of his (and mine now) and to see a little bit of music since we are oh-so-deprived of it down here in the Chambana. Namely, we went up to catch Saintwood's new Woodwork festival, and I Love Neon. Initially, we had penned to drive to Miami for the infamous UMF but alas we decided to fuck that shit. Because we would gone outta our minds with the amount of driving.

At Woodwork, we managed to catch Sound of Stereo, Brodinski, Calvin Harris, and Laidback Luke. All of which performed admirably. Sadly, we came too late to the party as we missed Nero's set, which was a pretty big downer.

The following weekend we caught Lazer Sword, Flying Lotus, and Benga at I Love Neon. Sadly though, Benga's set was on the poor side, but not due to him. Apparently some snob near the venue called the cops, and asked them to turn it the hell down. So they came, and requested that the "low" be turned down. Now I won't say that "low" is everything in music. But I will say that it is definitely a third of it. Low is also pretty key to an event geared towards Dubstep. Despite Montreal police failures, a solid set.

During all this fun i got a chance to chill with Liam of Love Thy Brother, these two hot DJs on the up in Montreal at the moment. He shared some musical know how with me and due to this, I've got some new stuff for ya'll. Much thanks to Liam and the Saintwoods crew, and all them boys up in Montreal. I also got to meet the writers of The New Montreal, a very popular blog that you may or may not have seen on the HypeM charts. Absolute great dudes (and gal) and i suggest you go check it out! They're on our blogroll now, so hit em up!

BONUS:

Major Lazer - Pon De Floor (Tigorilla Dagga' Remix)

Afroman Vs. Aerosmith - The Colt Way (Tigorilla's Brosesh Mash)

Huoratron - Corporate Occult Live @ Flow Festival 09 from XPLOITEC on Vimeo.

Huoratron rockin' out to his newly released "Corporate Occult." Scope out the DL below, 320 fsheezy.

I had a split second during this when i remember being a 4 year old and liking power rangers. That is how good this music video is.

Along the lines of my previous "dude playing Beetroots on the piano" here is a dude playing Daft Punk on a Violin. See how i switched it up a little??

BONUS:

Huoratron - Corporate Occult

Sound of Stereo - Zipper

Slackin Fools

Dem Slackers and Mightyfools have been in constant rotation on my iPod, laptop, CDJs, all the time, for a long time. Occasionally they pop up here but i've yet to give them the spotlight, so check these mofo's out. They drop hard, sicknasty beats, CHECK:

Mightyfools - Addict
^First mightyfools song i ever heard, when it hits 2:00 dayummmm

Dem Slackers - The Joker [256 kbps]
^Nasty, nasty track, 1:16 hits hardd, and this is minimal for my tastes usually

Mightyfools - Living the Life
^Poppy track that still has that hard edge.

Dem Slackers - God is a Slacker (Lee Mortimer Remix)
^This is and always will be one of my anthems. SLACKER.

Sound of Stereo - Heads Up (MIghtyfools Remix)
^Raw sound, ballsy move but it works.

^First Dem Slackers song I ever heard, and you can understand why i kept downloading their songs. Absolute BANGA.

Fall Out Boy - I Don't Care (Tommie Sunshine & Mightyfools Remix)
^Gets a little shaky before the drop but brings it back raw

Foamo - Rockerman (Dem Slackers Remix)
^Another rawww track, classic

Will Bailey - Hit the Club (Mightyfools Remix)
^HIT HIT HIT HIT THA CLUB!

Bombermen - Alcatrax Vol. 4 (Dem Slackers Danger Ride Remix Feat. Wonder) [96 kbps]
^This song is DIRTY and excuse the quality, but i couldn't find better. Buy it on Beatport, it's worth it.

BONUS:

Bombermen - Alcatrax Vol. 2
^Scuzzy little track that helped spawn the banger above, raw.

Mightyfools Feat. Guerilla Speakerz - Amsterdam (BUIZA 'Barkie' Remix)
^Solid remix of Amsterdam, tied second best with AC Slater

Mightyfools Feat. Guerilla Speakerz - Amsterdam (AC Slater Remix)
